WOODLAWN RESORT

A Relaxing Family Resort
on Blanche Lake

A Classic Minnesota Family-Owned Resort

Peace, relaxation, fun on the water - the Narveson family has hosted vacations at beautiful Blanche Lake since 1948. We are delighted to announce that starting in 2025, Tyler and Catherine Nelson will take over.

Woodlawn is located on seven hundred feet of north shore along a secluded thirteen acre tract of park-like woodland, across from Glendalough State Park. Our eight cottages are all on the lake, comfortably and conveniently furnished, many with lofts and vaulted ceilings. Each cottage is unique, with a timeless lake cabin charm. Each cottage has a large deck on lakeside for dining and lounging. Fishing, swimming, water toys, and sailboats (lessons available). Two playgrounds, tree house, and plenty of room for frisbee, ball games, or croquet. Rec building, on-site laundry, library, and excellent wifi.

Cottages

Our cottages are well spaced along the wooded shore. There are docks at three locations. Much of the waterfront activity centers around the main dock, a great swim area with sandy bottom and shallow water for little kids. We also offer a recreation building, laundry building, tree house, and fish cleaning house.

Glendalough State Park

Accessible by either boat or auto, this low impact state park includes all or parts of three lakes, a swim beach, and great hiking and biking trails. Learn about its long history as a summer gathering place for Native Americans, its recent history hosting US presidents, and its abundant wild plant and animal life, some of it unique to the park’s ecosystem.
